Archiving Family Papers

Are you interested in knowing how to preserve your old family Bible and papers? January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. HEATHER SOUTH, Archivist for the Western Regional Archives, North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources Western Office, will give a workshop on archiving family papers, photographs, and other memorabilia at the Fletcher Branch Library. South will discuss the type of archival boxes to be used, whether to use pen or pencil for identifying old photographs, how to correctly scan old papers and photographs and archive them. She will provide resource information to aid in archiving, and in general advise and assist and support those family members who wish to preserve their family records. The workshop is sponsored by Fletcher Arts and Heritage Association (FAHA) in partnership with the Fletcher Library.
